The M77 was built(9 1/2 miles long) in three years, that's 1 mile per year including all the under-passes, over-passes , and bridges that a motorway entails so why do we in Irvine have to wait a full year for a new bridge over what is after all a minor river. Why did it have to have a ridiculous design, after all it's on what is essentially a back access road, who is going to stop and admire it, I doubt if tourists will even notice it when they drive past.
What would be wrong with a concrete bridge built in a matter of weeks???
